Every vehicle has them and in our opinion they are one of the most important safety systems in your vehicle. Because when your vehicle fails to stop when you need it to, you are in trouble. Brake issues can occur over time and may show signs of decreased efficiency or they could stop working suddenly. Brakes are a constant wear item in your vehicle and should be checked regularly.
At Auto Correct Car Care, we regularly check you brake system with each oil change, or recommended factory maintenance. We are able to repair all components of the brake system including brake pads, brake rotors, hydraulic brake lines, and replacement of brake fluid.
Some signs your brakes may be in need of repair
- Noises: Listening to your brakes is very good indicator if there is something going on. Hearing screeching, grinding or clicking noises when applying the brake pedal or simply when driving could indicate an issue.
- Vibrations, Pulling or Grinding: How does the car feel? Does it feel different when you are stopping then in the past? Is it pulling to one side, or does it feel like it is grabbing. Is there a vibration or a pulsing when you apply the brakes?
- Changes in the brake pedal: How is the pedal reacting? Do you have to put the pedal to the floor before the brakes engage? Or is it hard to push down on the pedal?
- Fluid leaking: If you see an amber colored fluid under the car or on your garage there could be brake fluid leaking.
If you are experiencing any of the above, or are simply heading out of town and want to ensure you have no surprises, we can perform a brake inspection for you and will provide you with an estimate for any recommended services.
